FEBRUARY 21st!

Studio 516 Benefit Concert
Red Dons
Big Papa Warrior & J Magic

A concert to support Art in Oregon

This special benefit concert brings together two powerful forces in Portland's music and visual art communities for one unforgettable evening at Studio 516. Hip hop duo Big Papa Warrior & J Magic and legendary Portland punk band Red Dons will perform back-to-back inside the working art studio shared by artists and collaborators Jeremy Okai Davis and Tammy Jo Wilson —a space known for hosting vibrant exhibitions, gatherings, and cultural exchange.

Both groups feature artists who are deeply invested in Art in Oregon's mission, serving on it’s Board while actively shaping the region's creative landscape as painters, performers, and cultural workers. Seeing these artists perform in an intimate studio setting where music, visual art, and community regularly intersect offers a rare and electric experience that cannot be replicated in a traditional venue.

All funds raised directly support Art in Oregon programs, including BLACK MATTER, TERRAIN, and OPEN AiR Artist Residency, ensuring continued advocacy, visibility, and resources for artists across the state.

This is more than a concert; it is a celebration of creative solidarity, cross-genre expression, and the sustaining power of art-centered community.

Land Acknowledgement

Art in Oregon acknowledges the land on which we gather as the occupied and unceded territories of the Multnomah, Wasco, Colwlitz, Molalla, Kalpuya, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Chinook, Tualatin and many other tribes who made their homes in and around present-day Portland and along the Columbia River.

We acknowledge the systemic policies of genocide, relocation, and assimilation that still affect many Indigenous and Native American families today.

As guests on these lands, we respect the work of indigenous leaders and families. We pledge to make ongoing efforts to recognize their knowledge, creativity, and resiliency.
