PACT offers ongoing monthly events for artists to meet and have conversations about our art practices and careers. Each month a new topic will serve as the springboard to start a dialog about ideas and issues that impact our lives.  PACT is about creating an opportunity for artist to connect with each other in an open and supportive environment

Annamieka Hopps Davidson is a Portland-based painter. She leads art retreats in the mountains and on the Oregon coast, and she teaches courses online. Part of the art practice that she has developed is called the Palette of Place, and she collects color wherever she goes. She finds that connecting color to a sense of place is deeply personal and empowering. In September 2018 she will have a solo show in the gallery on the top floor of Powell’s City of Books on Burnside.

Erika Lee Sears is a mother of two and a born-and-raised Portlander. She is a self-taught oil painter who makes an original piece of art every single day and shares it on her social media. Erika embarked on this daily art project over three years ago and hasn’t looked back since! Her masterful eye and brilliant use of technique brings her viewers not only the volume, color, and movement of her beautiful painted subject.  Her work can be found at the Brooklyn Art Library, on the hit tv shows Portlandia and the latest season of Significant Mother.
