In 2025 we will continue and expand our relationships with artists in communities around Oregon.
BLACK MATTER will be on display at Patricia Reser Center for the Arts in fall 2025, and at Blackfish Gallery in 2026. BLACK MATTER showcases contemporary Oregon-based black artists in an effort to address an imbalance in representation and to broaden cultural awareness of and appreciation for art by black artists in Oregon.
. Terrain, a land art exhibition at Building 5 in NW Marine Artworks. Terrain is a developing series of exhibits that showcase land art and environmentally focused art featuring a rotating group of underrepresented Oregon artists. Terrain will culminate in August of 2025 with a fifteen-artist exhibition at Building 5 inside NW Marine Artworks.
. Sketch & Release is an emerging documentary series about the experiences of Black creatives in rural Oregon. This project will screen first episodes as part of BLACK MATTER at Patricia Reser Center for the Arts.

Open AiR Oregon, a self-directed artist residency program that aims to provide and enhance access and opportunity to Oregon-based artists working in a wide range of media (visual & performing art, music, theater, dance, written word/poetry, film/video, experimental), through partnerships with and connections to local/regional organizations that can facilitate the creation, exhibition, or expression of new work. Open AiR will welcome its first cohort through an open-call application process THIS SPRING!
